Mt. Puluy Hideout: KIANGAN'S SEA OF CLOUDS

Mt. Puluy is a type of Mountain,

an elevation standing high above the surrounding area with small summit area, steep slopes and local relief of 300m or more. (https://www.mindat.org/feature-1692510.html).

It is loacted at the Boundary of Brgy. Julongan, Kiangan and Hungduan of Ifugao Province. Along the way, you may pass across with Julongan Rice Terraces and Julong weaving center. The trek is estimated to be an hour hiking with approximately 8kms.



This place is not only for a tourist attraction but a big part of the Philippine and World history. In connection to the historical events of Yamashita and the end of WW2. Way back 1939 to 1945 of World War 2. This place was considered a warzone battle area of the Japanese and American soldiers. Man made holes and tunnels that was used for hiding and necessities during the war are said to be preserved and present until now.

Presently, Mt. Puluy is still open for locals and tourists for 24hours. It is still currently in a process for more development as one of the best tourist spot in Kiangan and neighboring cities. To unwind here is majorly said to be "one of the best" . Mt, Puluy's Sea of Clouds is said to be better during sunset and sunrise. With Mt. Puluy's sea of Clouds paired with coffee and cottages, you will experience 'Cafe in the Sky' like of Tuba Benguet.

To possibly view sunset and sunrise you may have trek troubles (trek in the dark) and to get a cup of hot coffee you may have to carry a thermos bottle. BUT no need to worry, the place is open for camping with a minimal fee for security and maintenance. And as for the coffee, you can always buy one there.
